Our Mission
This project aims to integrate both women and gender studies and media literacy into all aspects and levels of education through a balanced and equitable teaching environment.
Why does this matter? It has become apparent that the education system has a gap between the way men and women are perceived and discussed in all subjects. In order to provide a comprehensive education, women need to be centered in topics in addition to men.
Why are we doing this? Our personal investment in this project began as a result of a writing and rhetoric course centered around issues of new media, gender, and sexuality. Though both of us have had exposure to these issues before, this class motivated us to create a response to the issue of unbalanced education.
